What fuels can be stored in your TPU bladders?

Our standard TPU fuel bladders are rated for: diesel (EN 590, ASTM D975), gasoline/petrol (unleaded), Jet A-1 / Avtur, JP-4, JP-8, MOGAS, biodiesel up to B100, and lubricating oils. They are not suitable for concentrated acids, strong oxidizers, or halogenated solvents. If you need to store a fuel or chemical not listed, share the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and we can advise on material compatibility or recommend an alternative liner specification.

Is a TPU fuel bladder safe? What antistatic measures are in place?

Yes, safety is our primary design priority. All fuel bladders include: (1) an antistatic TPU inner layer with surface resistivity below 10⁸ Ω to prevent electrostatic charge accumulation during fill operations; (2) a permanent earthing/bonding lug on the bladder body for grounding to site earth; (3) stainless steel or brass (non-sparking) fittings throughout; and (4) RF-welded seams with no volatile adhesives. We recommend following standard hydrocarbon fuel storage safety procedures, including bonding and grounding during fill/discharge, no-smoking zones, and adequate ventilation.

How does a TPU bladder compare to a steel or fiberglass fuel tank?

The primary advantages of TPU bladders over rigid tanks are: portability and logistics (a 50,000-litre bladder ships in one pallet vs. a multi-truck heavy-lift for a steel tank of equivalent volume); rapid deployment (hours vs. days or weeks for civil construction); no corrosion risk (TPU does not rust); and reusability (deflate, clean, fold, redeploy). Trade-offs include lower maximum working pressure, requirement for level ground, and greater care needed to avoid sharp-object punctures. For permanent, pressurized, or vehicular installations, rigid tanks remain preferable. For expeditionary, temporary, or remote applications, bladders offer decisive logistical advantages.

What is the minimum order quantity? Do you ship globally?

MOQ is 1 unit for standard sizes. OEM/custom orders may have higher MOQ depending on configuration—typically 3 units or more. We ship worldwide via sea freight (FCL and LCL), air freight, and express courier for small units. We have supplied to military, mining, and humanitarian clients in over 60 countries and can prepare full export documentation including MSDS, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

Can the bladder be repaired if punctured in the field?

Yes. We supply a field repair kit with every bladder: TPU-compatible adhesive patches in multiple sizes, surface preparation materials, and a step-by-step repair guide. For small punctures (under 5 cm), field repair is possible after draining the bladder and allowing the liner to dry. For larger damage, we recommend factory repair using RF welding. How should the bladder be maintained and cleaned between uses?

After use: drain completely, flush with a small volume of fresh fuel to remove residue, allow to drain fully, then fold and store in the supplied carry bag in a dry, shaded environment. Do not store compressed or folded in extreme temperatures for extended periods. For switching between fuel types (e.g., diesel to gasoline), a thorough solvent flush is recommended—contact us for the specific procedure for your fuel combination. Inspect seams and fittings annually; replace O-ring seals every 3–5 years as preventive maintenance. Full maintenance protocols are included in our documentation package.

Are military-specification versions available?

Yes. We manufacture to MIL-SPEC material standards and can supply bladders with: NATO-standard fuel fittings (NATO STANAG 3105 and 3765 compatible); camouflage outer coating (woodland, desert, or custom pattern); low-infrared-signature coatings; enhanced antistatic specification; and heavy-duty abrasion-resistant outer layer for rough ground deployment.
